Produced in Pakistan under licence · Waterproof Drying System
IZONIL invented the Waterproof Drying System (WDS): a single plaster that is 100% waterproof and fully vapour-permeable. Walls keep water out and dry from the inside — no trapped damp, no blown plaster. SEED Chemicals produces IZONIL in Pakistan under licence, importing IZONIL's proprietary Izocomponent concentrate from Slovakia and blending and bagging the range locally.
Film-forming membranes are chemically waterproof but vapour-tight. Moisture gets trapped behind them, builds pressure and delaminates the coating — often within a few years.
IZONIL works on a physical principle instead. Built on the natural Izocomponent additive, its dense micropore structure blocks liquid water under pressure while staying wide open to water vapour. The wall becomes its own waterproofing layer, and trapped moisture and rising damp escape continuously — the “house drying effect.” It resists salt crystallisation, can be applied to damp surfaces, and is non-toxic and potable-water safe.
IZONIL is hundreds of times more vapour-open than a membrane, yet stays 100% waterproof to liquid water.
Keeps liquid water out and lets vapour escape — both at once, in a single product.
Resists salt crystallisation and efflorescence that destroy ordinary plaster and paint.
No need for a perfectly dry substrate — ideal for renovation and active-damp walls.
Non-toxic formulation suitable for drinking-water tanks and reservoirs.
IZONIL Plus resists hydrostatic pressure to 5 bar — positive and negative side.
Engineered for decades of performance, validated across European and Asian climates.
SEED Chemicals produces IZONIL in Pakistan under licence: we import IZONIL's proprietary Izocomponent concentrate from Slovakia and blend and bag the WDS range locally. You get the original European technology with the advantages of local manufacture — shorter lead times, ready availability and project pricing. And it is made for what Pakistani walls actually face: monsoon rain, rising damp, salt damage and basement water under hydrostatic head — backed by technical selection and on-site support.
